Description

The Strawberry Necklace is an exact replica of a strawberry Rachel collected at a pick your own farm in the on a balmy summers day in 2017, the strawberry is made from solid sterling silver and yellow gold vermeil.

The strawberry necklace features a detailed and lightly textured strawberry with overlapping leaves that hangs from the chain by its curled stalk.

Is there anything more summery than a juicy, ripe red strawberry? Rachel made the strawberry necklace to remember the hazy summer days spent at pick your own farms. We’re firm believers in the “one for the punnet, one for me” rule, after all, rooting around for the perfect strawberry is tough work!

The strawberry is an exact replica of a strawberry Rachel picked herself. Rachel 3D scanned the strawberry, scaled it down and added a stalk to make the strawberry wearable. This means the strawberry has all of the texture of a real strawberry – it looks good enough to eat!

All of our jewellery is lovingly designed and handmade in Rachel's Birmingham studio with help from casters and stone setters in the historic Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

I make all my jewellery from my small workshop close to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in the United Kingdom.

I’ve been lucky to learn so much from the incredible talent within the British jewellery trade and it’s important to me that my jewellery is made in the UK and does its own tiny bit to support the trade.

I'm surrounded by so many skilled casting companies, goldsmiths, stone setters and hand engravers in Birmingham and I think it's vital that we support them and keep their disciplines alive and available for generations of designers to come.

When you buy a piece of Rachel Whitehead Jewellery, you're helping keep the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter the vibrant and vital centre of manufacture that it has been and should remain for years to come.
