Blossom Flower Station Necklace
Description
The Blossom Flower Station Necklace is a delightfully delicate necklace featuring the tiniest of blossom flowers dotted on a delicate but durable chain.
A perfectly simple necklace for an understated look the Blossom Flower Station Necklace can be worn alone or with other necklaces for an easy layered look.
Inspired by the fleeting few weeks in spring time when trees appear to be weighed down with the most delicate pink and white blossoms. The Blossom collection is a wearable reminder of the joy and the promise of warmer times that the flowers bring with them.
All of our jewellery is lovingly designed and handmade in Rachel's Birmingham studio with help from casters and stone setters in the historic Birmingham Jewellery Quarter.

How is it made?
A part of the Blossom collection the Station Necklace features the tiniest of blossom flowers.
The flowers were originally CAD designed - a process that allows me to pack in plenty of detail to a tiny piece of jewellery.
The flowers were 3D printed in a plastic material which was moulded so many of the same design could be cast in precious metal.
Once the flowers are cast I remove the sprue which feeds the metal into the design with a file and emery paper. Each tiny flower is cleaned up and polished by hand - a job I have to pop my glasses on for, and is attached and soldered to a delicate trace chain.
Once the necklace is put together it's polished in a magnetic barrel polished to give it a high shine finish.
Solid gold pieces are hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay office and if you order a chain the pendant is strung on a delicate, yet strong chain manufactured by our supplier based in Shropshire, UK.

I make all my jewellery from my small workshop close to Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter in the United Kingdom.
I’ve been lucky to learn so much from the incredible talent within the British jewellery trade and it’s important to me that my jewellery is made in the UK and does its own tiny bit to support the trade.
I'm surrounded by so many skilled casting companies, goldsmiths, stone setters and hand engravers in Birmingham and I think it's vital that we support them and keep their disciplines alive and available for generations of designers to come.
When you buy a piece of Rachel Whitehead Jewellery, you're helping keep the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter the vibrant and vital centre of manufacture that it has been and should remain for years to come.
